Just look on the bright side. It could have been a crew cab with sliding backglass.

Now the 02 to 08 ram I will shrink the backglass. I think I've only ever seen one that I didn't have to shrink on, and it was an aftermarket piece of glass.

New mustangs and vettes need some shrink of newer rides
Yeah the new mustang has just enough curve it won't lay flat. First mustang I ever had to shrink the doors on.
-
I pull the gaskets on 95% of the doors i do. And rarely do i ever have to shrink a door. Like seriously almost never.

Never had to shrink a dodge ram door. Try pushing half the water out the top and half out the bottom. While working the film to the corners. This should help.

I'll have another chance please.

You just have to find a ratio that works for your conditions and film. My summer time mix is 1 ounce of shampoo to 1 gallon of water.

before i was mobile, i had 3gal tank. great with a good tip. only drawback was adjusting slip for my ceramic film which was aggressive requiring more slip.
concept for a P3 sprayer.
add a valve stem to pressurize from air hose. charges small tank like a paintball gun for air or CO2 pistol , regulator to maintain at say 40psi?
2-4 ounce internal holder for slip with adjuster for mix. slip would be mixed at tip when sprayed, not added to water.
thought a paintball repair store could make the mods, If someone thinks they can make it, be happy to pay for it within reason LOL
I tried that with a remote tank line, and it works OK. I still have it, but don't use it. If you want it I'd be willing to sell it to you. Pm me if your interested.

This conversation makes my hand cramp, by all means buy a corny tank or 2 and be done with it. Best move I ever made was getting away from hand sprayers.

Should be. Films vary from company to company. But 45% should drop more then 5% once installed.
-
Your front doors are supposed to be 40% to be legal. I would ask if they carry fxtreme 45% instead of 50%. As for the back. Legal in your state on the rear is 12%. So either 20 or 35% on the rear is up to you. Ask for a small piece of both to look through at night. This will give you an idea of how dark you are comfortable seeing out of.
-
Really depends on the million dollar question. What color interior does the car have. Keep in mind dark charcoal or black interior will look much darker then the same vehicle that has light grey or tan interior.
-
Make sure you look at the 50% before having it installed. It definitely won't be dark. So to help I would say probably do the rear in 20%. And either put a dark strip across the top of the windshield, or have the whole windshield tinted in the 50% also. Personally I have. Hard time getting people to like 35% on there side doors because it is so light. And if you are going for the murdered out look, 50% window film is far from that.

I'd still be using S7 if they hadn't changed the adhesive.

I liked the first gen stuff, then they changed the adhesive and I hate installing it now. Went back to qdp ceramic.

No tint other then the frost. I also have my vlt display on one of the windows. So definitely time to get the fixed too.
-
I'll take another chance. Maybe this one will be the winner ✊
-
Heck yeah I'm in. 👍
-
The frost stripe is going. Not sure if I will put one back, or try to tint the windows to match the paint scheme somewhat.

Looking for a trained tinter

I find myself at the point where I really could use a good extra set of hands. I've had a few helpers. And none of them have quite picked up the skill of tinting. So I am reaching out here to see if anyone would be interested in working for me. I run a small shop in a little town. And I don't shove more work in the shop then I can handle. So definitely not a fast pace shop that runs through 20 cars before lunch. I do some flat glass and heavy equipment. So with summer coming I am hoping to find someone with skills. If you are or know someone who might be looking to relocate or lives in the west Tennessee area. I would be happy to hear from you.
Thank you
