When I was a kid I used to shoot the ones on my neighbors roof. I would kill like 6 at a time. It went on for days then one day he talked to my dad and told him that he thought I was killing birds on his roof. The reason his attention was drawn to the roof was the rotting smell givin off from the dead birds.

My dad said he would look into it and just told me to stop. My dad used to shoot them all the time.
