Besides the obviously difference in VLR and usually thickness.....not really.

He's more concerned about the type of glue he should get.

IMO, getting the fingers to lay down on a CDA/CDA/WA/whatever type film would be hard.

I know the adhesives to be different on automotive and flat glass films. Most auto films are produced utilizing high temperature resistant resins, whereas flat glass (like safety film PSA) is not. These temperature resistant resins will hold up (most times) better to the heat experienced inside a car when it is left outside. Flat glass products are still produced using arcylic based adhesives, they just usually do not contain the heat resistant properties offered in auto PSA's.

Using CDA (dry) adhesives on auto's can be tricky. They take longer to set up, and on heavy curves, will finger and bring dirt and contamination back into the installation.
