help needed please

Hi All,

I have to do a 5 door seat leon tomorrow morning.

I have only done one in the past (ages ago) and i found the door quarters are banded but have a rubber trim on the inside that prevents you to tint over the dots.

Last time i cut the rubber (which i hate doing) but accidently scratched the black ceramic doing so.

It was a disaster. It took me ages and didn't look good.

You cant even take the quarters out cos they are bonded.

Any Suggestions .. . . . . . please!!!

There easy cut to the last dot of the matrix and installed never trimmed the rubber, never had an issue with them??

Maybe i'm just worrying about nothing. It was a long time ago that i did one.

Do YOU use a liner to cut a tight template? I normally just shine a light on it but if my memory serves me right you cant see the dots enough to get a tight template cos the rubber trim makes a shadow on the dots.

Put a piece of liner on the outside cut to the last dot, put on your film cut the template and install, bingo easy!!!!

...yep, and get yourself a bright light and put that behind before you cut a template....then save the template, you might need it again.

So is Autoglaze a tint company full time or a glass company who also do tinted windows aswell when asked then?
