Using a Jiffy steamer for removing vinyl

Recommended Posts

Since I deal only with tint , forgive a perhaps obvious answer to this question to vinyl installers.

When removing old graphics from cars , boats etc. I've only seen it done with a heatgun and thinners . Is that the best method or do jiffy steamers work as well, better or worse ?

If you rub the razor blade onto glass, as if you were scraping it clean.

It will roll the edges of the blade up away from the surface, enough to where it will not catch as easily when using it on a painted surface.

Allowing you to remove stripes and narrow vinyl with ease... :thumb

Steamer does help too though.. :D

I know exactly what you're saying and that is a very good tip :thumb
