Things like that are why I go to the new car show every year.  Just to see what the designers have done to mess with me this time.  

I wish the car manufacturers had at least one person on staff to ask about things like that.

   Hey so&so,  is this going to work, or will the window tinters or audio guys kill us if we build it this way? 

That's a cool pattern Mike.   gotta ask,, did you finish out the windows or leave it like that??. just high enough to see over if you are right up on it.

Did and R&R on this one today.  Nice car.  As you know this backglass is sort of a graduation exam for noobs, but this laid down so easy with CarbonFX

People love the shade of the 35%.  Still dark enough(black enough) to make them happy.

2011 Camaro. Full tint, Glossy black vinyl strips on hood and trunk. 

Originally thought the customer had the "kit" for the stripes since he mentioned he had gotten his own material. Turned out just to be in bulk.

Knifeless tape is great. 

 

 

 

 

 

Don't you hate it when... a set of customers come in the showroom,,  just after finishing a giant blunt apparently.  Reeking of pot smoke 

Then they leave after filling your showroom with the stench,,,, then another customer comes in, not seeing the crew that just left.  Now they are looking at you like

I've got a nice response typed up....Trying to decide if I should respond or call first. 

See,,, that's a whole other issue.   Do you even respond at all??  Is it worth it?  Will he still even understand??  

You gotta be careful because others will look at how you respond(if you do) and then pass judgment based on that response, not the whole situation.

He doesn't know his own law..... thinks the car was factory tinted.... is blatantly telling people to ignore the law and get illegal tint....

AND THEN says nothing done wrong and doesn't even have anything to back up his story.   

 I must assume work was even done because the car is now in Chapel Hill & we didn't have time to confirm the job with a light meter.    REALLY!!  

Some people should forget how to type and use a computer.    

Don't ya hate it when.....  A customer doesn't understand but thinks they do.  And then tells you that you are the one with a bad attitude  

Some people just can't get it through their heads that a car does not come with "factory" tint on it.  

Older lady comes in, says she wants tint.  Says she doesn't want anything illegal.  Fine. That leaves one choice.  

Lady:  Can I see some samples.   Me:  Sure,  This is your legal limit. Anything else is illegal on a car.  

Lady:  to husband...  How dark was your BMW? and How dark was so and so's car?   Husband:  I don't know?  The BMW came from the factory that way.  And so and so had it done here..   Lady:  Well, call so and so and see what he had put on his car.  Husband:  I thought you only wanted legal? 

Lady:  I don't want it illegal.  

Me:  Was the BMW a car or an SUV?  them:  It was a car and we bought brand new and it was tinted from the factory.  

Me:  If it was a car and had tint on it when you bought it.  Then it was done after the dealership received it.  By a shop somewhere, not the factory. 

Lady:  Well, I know what we bought and I'm not going to argue with you.   Husband:  Well are you going to go with illegal tint?  Lady:  No.  

Me and Husband at the same time:  Well then you only have one choice.   

The whole time I tried to be as nice as I could and explain everything correctly, but somehow, I wound up being the one in a bad mood with a bad attitude    At least that's what she told me. (I was actually just fine, and in a pretty good mood)

Sometimes people just can't handle being wrong.  I think I lost this battle before she ever hit the front door.
