  1. Interesting that you are having peanut issues on a Challenger??  That backglass has very little shrink to it.

Questions:  are you dry shrinking?  If so, are you using a large anchor area across the center and  pushing as much as you can, top and bottom, leaving only small short fingers.....    or are you using a small anchor in the center and shrinking from there??

  2. I think I also read somewhere that the adhesive used in window film is a vegetable based (organic) substance.  If that is still the case, then installing with a dish detergent that is meant to break down and destroy organic compounds :nono  Not a good idea.  This means you are breaking down your adhesive as you are installing your film.  :twocents

  3. Can you guys elaborate on the issue with ceramic making the window hotter because it absorbs.  :?

My rep says the ceramic is not as good as a spectrally selective IR film, because the IR film reflects more heat than ceramic.

He says,,,  "why would you want a film that makes the windows hotter?"  Making it sound like ceramic is not any better that an IR film.

With "ceramic"  being a buzz phrase these days, and non-metalized IR falling right in line.  I want to understand, so I can explain.

    Thanks in advance.  Bham

  5. I've seen those recently Reckless   :thumb  I haven't tried them yet.

I know what you mean by the Sharpie stopping when it gets a little wet.  That's the downside to using them.  Also the black can be hard to see on darker films.

A vinyl guy told be about these white pencils from Staedtler.   These pencils are outstanding.  NON-PERMANENT.  you can wipe your mark off with your finger. I use them on autopaint for lining up decals.  The white shows up great on ALL shades of film.

Give them a try,,, you might really like them.
