  1. Breakdown issue solved. The manual pump for my sprayer was broken and allowing the silicone grease that is inside the pump to be exposed to my solution. TintSlime is so pure that it was breaking down the grease, which is what the "lint like" contaminate was in my sprayer.

Now I will be running a test when I get the new pump, to see if this is still happening.    I have worries that this type of pump can't be used because I don't think there is a way to keep the grease out of the solution  :?  I will report back once I have my answers.

:woot2  Again, I gotta say thanks to Kari for spending so much time talking this out to try to solve my problem.

This is a great product---very consistent--very reliable..Great job designing this product for us!!

  2. Water is filtered, so I don't think so.  If I look down in my sprayer bottle before I add more, You can see stuff moving around in the remaining solution.  I will try to get a pic next time the bottle is low.  I hope someone from TintSlime will respond.  Could be a batch issue, but I doubt it :?

  3. I was wondering how many of you that posted last still like TintSlime. Are you having problem with it breaking down? I've been using it for almost 6 months now and have loved it except that it DOES break down. I keep having to clean the screen in my wand in my automatic sprayer. :facepalm it looks like lint almost. It's not the bottle because when I noticed it, I cleaned everything and started over, and sure enough. Still breaking down.

Other than the breaking down, I like the stuff. But, not a fan of one of the main reasons I tried it. :dmc

Based on Tesla's lithium-ion battery technology, the new battery is expected to help the company become a leader in the growing home energy-storage market.Feb 12, 2015
  5. an electric lawn/leaf blower or even a shop/vac on blower function with someone in the car might work   :dunno  an air nozzle on a compressor will also do the trick like Ocala suggested, but I would listen for air leaks more that look for water.   :twocents

  6. Anyone have accurate info for Illinois? I am in WI, but my shop is about an hour away from the Illinois border. About three times per year the question comes up, regarding tint laws down there, whether the customer is an Illinois resident, or just commutes there for work.

I heard that the laws on the front-two have changed recently. I know that it was always no film allowed, at all, including clear film (the way the law was written), but I've had Illinois residents tell me that had changed.

    Does anyone have accurate info?

If you go to the IWFA website there is a special selection for Illinois tint law certificate that explaines everything. They update often. :thumb
  7. :welcome  tbayer2014   Try one of the PUR  quick-click sink filters.  They are not very expensive and an easy way to see if there is a difference.

I noticed how quickly my tap water was causing lime build up on my coffee maker,,,so I started using one.  I can only assume it works better because my slip solution is more consistent and my coffee makers are lasting a whole lot longer
