For the most part, the llumar film has the leading edge over the suntek, however the installer will make a huge difference as well.

So if they are both experienced and comparable installers. Choose the better color and film, 

If u know one installer has much higher standards then choose them and not the film.

Holy Jesus all the joining of ppf, wavy cut lines, hanging film,  lifting edges? 

We understand nobody is perfect but having to join pieces on a rocker panel that should be one piece is just plain cheap and ghetto.

Yes the lifting edges and dirt happens sometimes but it shouldn't be on everything.  Anyone that pays me that much should expect the best  service and installs. Not scraps to puzzle together a rocker panel

Yes there were some shops that have been testing for a long time. I think t&t Tinting was one of them

what film are you currently using right now? i'm guessing Lulu since you got precision cut.

the film vinyl designs is pretty good. The window tint patterns are real good, Paint protections ok, never comparable to DAP.

The biggest  reason i like FVD more then precision cut is because FVD offers smoother lines, less nodes. The precision cut pattern is filled and saturated with extra useless nodes. The blade has to keep lifting and readjusting, going back and fourth. by the end of it u got alot of rough edges on the pattern.

Window tinting has been within my family, for about 25 years or so,  I ended up learning from family.

i find this issue happens from the film i used, for example i had alot of these issues with suntek carbon, never had the issue on sungard black pearl, and never this issue on formula1 classic

I too did receive a sample from stek, The film was quite nice to install and  very clear. However I was disappointed with the price list i received.  overpriced for what it is.   I thought that being newer company in north america, being a korean brand. The cost would be efficient. I was very wrong. 

For the price i could purchase Llumar platinum, Suntek Ultra  both hydrophobic films. American branding and more well known name.    

Thats like buying a 60k hyundai luxury vehicle over a 60k BMW

I dont know, maybe its because were in Canada and its being distributed from the states. Maybe its the dollar conversion, duty fees and the non free shipping.

Like i said! nice film but doesn't make sense for us purchase.

does anyone experience this issue with precision cut. It freezes and has the Not responding message

i just contacted stek for a sample to test the film, i'll probably leave it on my car for a year first before i install anything like that on a clients though.  Quite interested about the hydrophobic coating and the longevity.  

could u just imagine if the adhesive was corrosive like duct tape lol

U can cover 4 doors, full hood, fender, mirror, front and  rear bumpers ful rear quarter panels and roof in 5 hours?
