It's almost like stupid McDonalds double cheeburger for a buck.back in the day it was bigger and had two slices if cheese..now for a buck you get a mcdouble ..much smaller and only one slice of cheese. .that made a profit in the millions!!!
Same with film..we used to use mmm back In late 80,s early 90,s..turned purple and peeled rather quickly..then switched to "cortould" TI..Lulu back then..then switched to suntek during 2004 sema show. But noticed quality went down after while. .back then Global was a no no..some say ..like I did. Purple out the box....but now technology and science changed..like with cell phones.
So one always rises above another. That's just the way it is.
Look at the "old" sun guard , went under. ..and the new sunguard. Same with Protect Guard, and xsun..

People should be more focused on where the contents of that Big Mac comes from rather than their film lol.

I've been reading this forum for a few weeks, and you guys seem like the best to help me make a informed decision. I'm looking at two businesses which sell two different brands of tint. Solar FX and Rayno Phantom Series. The business w/ the Rayno claims they are all ceramic w/ 3 levels of protection. I'm assuming that is S5,7, & 9.

The Solar FX is  Carbon (non ceramic) and Ceramic. Which do you guys prefer? The Solar FX is a little more pricier.

This is going on a 2008 Mazda Miata Brilliant Black w/black spoke wheels.

    Thanks!

SolarFX, love the way their CarbonFX looks and it's clarity, they have an IRFX film made similar to CarbonFX but added heat rejection, they also have a ceramic product called FXextreme2. Zero complaints from customers or myself on SolarFX.

Looks like a lot of unnecessary steps and one hell of a way to sratch the bottom section.@Ryker said best. 19yrs and asking Qs like you just started. Im just wondering which of you guys actually make a living NOT A SIDE JOB. Your cant be pro if all you is side work.

You're like that negative black cloud dude in the shop that likes to make things suck for everybody with useless condescending comments. You also have a bizarre obsession with people's experience.

This gasket shield of my set is 28in long and just fit a big caddy door and makes it very nice to slide the film in and keeps the whole felty/dirty seals away to keep the bottom edge clean and the lower seal stays dry so water wont make a finger and i dont use the heatgun on very many doorglass other than a occasional side crease(rushing to fast?) to iron out from the inside

I dont really like the 1/2 ones and have to slide them across to feed the film because you could scratch the top of the door panel on some auto and or maybe rip the film

They make almost any honda/subaru/nissan/toyota(loose seals)and most US cars a breeze for bottom loading and no panel of seal removal

Are the smaller ones something you can use on tight sides? A little one at the top or middle could probably push the whole glass away from contact point beyond 1/8 in. Just a thought, I think i'm going to get the gasket wizard. Those are the ones you made yourself?

  5. Note that inverter generators are quieter than regular generators, which is why those quiet 2000 watt hondas are pricey. This is the link to the one i got that is 3500watts (surges up to 4000watts), not as quiet as those 2000watt inverter hondas but for $300 you can't go wrong. It's 100 pounds and i can one man it everywhere - http://a.co/ihnt5RR

Have you considered batteries? Watts/Volts=Amps, so if you had a 1200 watt item you wanted to run non-stop for 1 hour you would calculate 1200w/12v=100 amps draw. So if you bought a 2000watt invertor (plugs to batteries and has the ac outlet) and a 100ah battery, you'll get an hour, but any battery you're charging and discharging this way should not go below 50% charge, so you would need 2 of these at 200ah total for that one hour. Or any amount or size of batteries that equal the 200amps, but that's just for a continuous hour. If silence is key. Depends on your needs and how important silence is

If your vehicle has a 100amp alternator you can rig them to get charged while you drive.

Battery for 1 hour at 1200watts after being charged (you'd need 200ah and not run under 50% discharge) -  http://a.co/cDOLYWX

  6. On Spotify I search "Sirius" and scroll down to Playlists section (click See all playlists), there are a bunch of playlists made to be like each music channel on satellite radio except it's not the same loop of songs every day for the past decade. I pick one of the Sirius Lithium or Sirius Octane playlists, some days it Sirius New Wave, other days it's Sirius Chill, BPM, Backspin... Check the playlists out, you'll play them or do a radio off of them.
