I have both the Roland CAMM-1 and the Graphtec FC5100

The Roland is a work horse which I have been cutting on for the past 3 years without any issues. I'm supprised it is still runing.

The Graphtec is by far the more advanced piece but I have just bought it and have been using it for the past 3 month. It works great and it allows you to set up different option setting under a single button. This is a great feature by it self specialy if you are planning to cut different Mil materials.

I would say Graphtec FC5100 Series is the way to go. You might spend a little more but you will end up using the optional features as your experience grows.
