....Also interesting is that Llumar has their Non Reflective AT Dyed films at an 8% reflectivity as well as their medium refl. ATR line at 8%.

In person I don't think the difference is significant enough to even consider.

Let me see if I can confuse the issue...

It is true the 2 films mentioned in the quotation box carry an 8% reflectivity... just because one has metal does not make an automatic candidate for a shiny look. 8% reflectivity is the same a clear glass, so these 2 films will not change the reflectivity of the glass as it exists before the tint is applied.

Films that carry 11-13% are 50% more reflective than your auto glass... translates into somewhat of a reflective quality and Platinum Plus at 18% is 100% + more reflective than your car glass... translates into shiny azz stuff.

Infinity OP appears to me, when I see it installed on a car, to be very much similar to what Platinum Plus use to look like and it's reflectivity level back then was around 24%... again, some shiny azz shiot. Also, since OP is made across town from CPF (LLumar) at Commonwealth (Suntek), chances are very good they have attempted to mimic any film sold by LLumar back when a couple of them use to work at CPF, not products currently produced by CPF (LLumar).

Dern shame the places about you selling film cannot see the wisdom in upscaling to a nicer product despite the crap shoot issue of radio reception. Because... HP films (film containing a conductive deposition, metal or ceramic)... don't always take away radio reception... too many variables to run in fear of.

Radio reception has NEVER been an issue for me as far as what I install. I've had 1 complaint about it. And that 1 was an easy fix.

What kind of car is it? Maybe we can tell you whether that model will have radio recet issues with high performance film products.
