DeWalt 18v cordless heat gun

Recommended Posts

I use the black and decker corded heat gun and have used them for years but I would like to see DeWalt make ar cordless version that is a little more tough and lightweight.

I would even like to see Dewalt build a better version of the black and decker model.

Would you buy one?

I don't think an 18V battery would generate enough power to produce the kind of heat required to shrink film for more than 2 or 3 minutes. Heat is a BIG amp draw. Just like the battery powered "Cold Touch" soldering iron that Coleman makes. Yea, it works great for about 47 seconds, then the batteries are dead. (and yes, it is cool by the time your finger leaves the button and touches the tip, AMAZING!)

If your really looking for something cordless why not use a blow torch!! :poop

Someone mentioned they used it..I figured it would last a day!! I've seen

the cooks use it on the "IRON CHEF AMERICA" heating up some fish

skin and shrunk like HP film.. :poop
