I use a Black & Decker "mouse" sander. Triangular head. Great control over where you sand and the point gets right into the tapered matrix on the sides :krazy Also, 250 or 300 grit wet/dry works well, just stay off the non-matrix area of the glass :lol

the palm sander really gets the job done and it saves your arms

isnt the palm sander pluged into the wall outlet?

and what happens when it gets wet?

If your overly concerned about the sander being plugged in just make sure your extension cord has a GFIC receptacle. Because I can get a fair amount of water on the floor every outlet in my shop is GFIC; that way if there is an electrical short the breaker kicks before anyone gets hurt. Plus when I am Mobil I have at least one extension cord that is GFIC compliant. :krazy
