Oh she never did die. I dont know how they finally found her. I explained to her what it would effect in her car. I even made her sign a waiver saying she refused a non metal film. Her bottle of pills dont hurt my sleep. :dunno

I put metal film on a vehicle, because the lady didnt want to spend the diff of $. Long story short I found out later she downed a bottle of pills jumped in her car and took off.

The bottle of pills was a little extreme. If she was that upset about her GPS not working, she should have just removed the tint. :spit

I don't do that many high end models but I will be ordering a roll of ATX to keep around at my shop.

And my :spit on GPS... I don't do much work on cars that have built in GPS units but I have a handhald PPC with GPS in my rig. I have ATR 15% on factory in the back, ATR 15% on my front sides and a highly illegal 5% strip on my front windshield. The GPS works with full signal almost all of the time sitting on my truck console. I think alot of the GPS performance will depend on the specifics of the unit. When in doubt use ATX

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
