You think that is bad here in Pa a medical exemption only allows a clear colorless film to be applied. Completley pointless since if it is a clear film there is no need for the exemption!

There are several afflictions that are U/V specific. Lupus and xeroderma pigmentosum patients cannot be exposed to U/V.

I go by the law, and I don't care if you have an RX from a Dr, I do it legal or not at all,

NO EXCEPTIONS !

So if a family that has a kid with XP comes in and they have a legitimate med exemption from the state, you are gonna send 'em packing? Hell, I have the contact info for both Ga and Tn and am very familiar with the procedure to file for an exemption in both states. In fact, If they come in with a Rx from a doctor, I'll even help them file the paperwork. I just don't see that many legit med conditions.

But be that as it may, If I come to you with an exemption issued by the state, are you going to turn me away? Even if my insurance is gonna pay your price? :nono Not really very smart.

My film rep measured the UV on a new ford SUV windshield with and without LuLu's UV Film. With the UV meter we used there was not much of a difference. The laminate apparently rejects most of the UV that the meter we used was capable of measuring.

Tint 123--I understand where you are coming from. I don't know where you live but here in MS. once I show the person the medex they are cleared of any and all liability as far as the darkness of the tint. They apply it as I ask; I even provide the shop owner with a copy of my medex and have him write sample on it so his folks will know what they look like. I do the same for vehicle inspection too-can't get a sticker if I don't have medex..Be safe

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      I'm looking for a chrome/mirror wrap for headlights/taillights. No NEOchrome, just a mirror or chrome appearance. Looking to spice up a project. Looking for transparent so can see lights thru film. I have looked and can't find what fits the bill. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
