How did you put the back glass in without taking the headrest out! and what tool did you use to get the water out by the third brake light. By the way looks great, most people would even bother taking it on :beer

I have no problem taking on a challenge,keeps you on top of the game,"w" method to get it in,bulldozer at the bottom... :thumb

I use the W method, but if your are leaving the headrests in like shades of grey did then its not really possible. I dont really mind these cars done a few, but disagree with the bulldoser at the bottom. I have to say leaving the headrests in would be a lot easier, get them out is real tight, with a chance of damaging them

I actually just do the same thing I've always done on A8's(obviously the same car)...I pretty much fold the tint onto itself...only adhesive side to adhesive side though(after wet). So I take one side and fold it to about the middle and than take the other side and fold it till it meets the other side(in the middle). Then I put it up and in...unfold carefully...and place on glass.

I don't pull the side panels...and I use those longer white harder cards(with black rubber stripping)...and I have a bunch all cut into different shapes for different aplications. Spent about 40 min total on it, and was done. good times

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
