New Dot matrix solution?

OK I did some research on frit (the black stuff they make the dots from) its a kind of biomass ceramic. I learned that "base" (opposite of acid) disolves it!!! I don't know how long it takes to disolve it, but a good source of a strong household "base" cleaner is oven cleaner!!!!

I dont know the safest way to try this yet, or what effect if any it has on glass, but it HAS to be worth trying

I used to use easy off oven cleaner to take off the clear coat off the aluminum parts on my gsxr so I could polish them.

FOR GODS SAKE BE CAREFUL I used to use oven cleaner to remove adhesive....WORKS GREAT..although, it did turn the sail panels of a black t bird WHITE.......be very very careful, cover seats, back deck, anything if trying it in a car. and for the frit, I've heard that it's glass particles, ceramic, and black paint mixed together, sprayed on, and fused to the glass and there's no way to get it off....just what I've heard, but good luck with your experimentation....hope it works. :lol6

hey td I tried this method once before. it takes about 30 min for it to start working . It does a great job on the glass but...The rear window is a pain in the rear trying to apply the cleaner to . It is realy a b*tch trying to get the bottom edge of the glass without taking the platform out . It Will discolor the fabrics in a hury ...But it does do the job !!!!!!
