did my first a8 the other day, have read alot about them on here over past few years, seems to be alot of discussion about whether th strip car out or not for rear screen????? well heres my 2p!!!

- I did it without stripping first, film slides between glass and shelf no problem, just couldnt quite get the pressure on to get enough water out, wasnt 100% happy with it although it was going to a hire firm and dealer said they werent picky, not the point in my book!!!!!!

you'll find full step by step instructions in the makes and model section (and pics!! don let them scare you!) if you get a car without rear sun shade (like I did) its easier than it sounds as no stripping in boot, I used to be scared of stripping these but now I have done one its not hard, and no real danger of breaking anything, takes a feckin age tho so charge charge charge!!!!!!

so I say strip! takes ages but end result is so worth the extra time

as I said on the phone fimmo, dont be scared of them, I was really suprised and the car lookd totally 110% when done and dealer was really happy which can only be a good thing,

come on diamond your bound to have done loads of these, whats the secret????????????

I have officially put the audi a8 on my hot list!

hotlist = double the price of normal cars or if I'm in a good mood and enjoying myself I'll recommend a certain tayside autotints for the job, I'll just tell em your an a8 specialist lol

Try using one of these to push the shelf down and allowing a tool to be used.

Must say once you muscle out the headrest, the rest is cake. I use that big white Bulldozer tool from Llumar. works great. usually leaves a little moisture, but no air. that drys out quick here in the Arizona desert. done about 10 or so and no problems. Did hear there could be a problem with the computer shutting down after having the key on forever, so I just cycle the key trough after each door. No problem with that yet. It was a myth I don't like to test
