After shrinking stand your heat gun up on end with the tip up so heat can escape upwards rather than just lingering in the gun. guns seem to last longer like this to me.

wrong, I think u just read the instructions real good. they all tell u to do that to let the heat excape.but hey if its the totw, ill go read the instructions that comes with one of my tools and post it as the totw---LOL!!!! :thumb

silly me, grabbed a handy scraper instead of my turbo out of my pouch--------ouch!!!. "THEY CALLED ME SCARHAND"

I know which manual you should read first !!! :thumb:thumb:D

I really dont understand how people have problems with their heat guns. I have one thats been working for three years now, and it never skips a beat. Its a cheapo from wallyworld. Only reason I buy cheap ones is cause from time to time when I get frustrated they take a nice flight across my shop, but it always turns on and works like normall..I dunno...maybe I am just crazy...

I hate cheap guns I have used one before, never again will I use a cheap PO :dunno gun

you should really just get an expensive gun, you'll really notice a big difference when shrinking a back glass

It also helps to do this when tinting in flip-flops as the heat gun tip is less likely to burn the toes. Yes, I could just wear shoes but what fun is that? :DD
