Painting a very spongey spoiler, flex additive?

hi all came across this forum when looking for a painting forum, they are very few and far between!,

Im from the UK and have been a painter for ford for 8 years but ive come across a problem for a

project car at home.

its a MK1 Ford Fiesta XR2, you might not be familiar with the car but it came with

a very flexible almost sponge like spoiler.

im wanting to spray it white but I know it will need some kind of additive but not sure what

does anyone know if a plastive flex additive added to the 2k acrylic paint would be fine or is there

another additive on the market?
