Job Offer -Take It- -Or Leave It-

Recommended Posts

We have been in your position many times. Cut overhead but do not compromise on quality. Offer the best possible product, the best possible service and don't let anything less than perfect reach the customer. Does your location, attitude or look limit your customer base? The majority of our customers are not "cool." We have done everything we can not to intimidate a potential customer from walking in the door. Our prices for car tinting are on the high side. I want the freedom to do the job right and I tell that to every customer that asks why we are higher. Find a film that is better than what you are carrying now and learn to upsell it effectively. This will raise, not lower your prices. Your customer needs to believe that their choice of your shop was not price driven, but that they have truly found the best, most service oriented film installer.

I cannot agree more with this! We did the same. I closed my doors in 08' and opened up again restructured in 09' with a more professional image and attitude, selling higher end films and jobs. About half of my customers choose to upgrade and pay for better quality films. The business outlook for me is now great. I'm really excited to see how well things are headed.

Pretty ironic! I just moved and need immediate income so I applied for Rest Rye as an installer (car audio) and the guy that interviewed me was asking if I had tinting tools, WTF? He said certain markets had guys that were "Tint Specialist" and that since I have an extensive background in tinting they may take it on. I'll be a monkeys uncle if I ever tint for 10 bucks an hour. I've spent 13 yrs. learning this trade and love what I do. Their so called "specialist couldn't hold a candle to my work and I ain't pimpin' it for that kinda money! I'll set up shop on a back street or deliver pizza's before that. Can you imagine the BS you'd go through for that little of pay? Helllllz No :thumb

you said key facts. you built the company from the ground up. why run away from something you made with your own hands. but in the end it doesnt matter what we say. you must do what is right in your eyes. if you do what we suggest then you are not really doing what you want to do. :lol2 :lol2
