Finding A Sales Person

Recommended Posts

We are looking forward to hiring a sales person this spring. They will cover a specific area that we serve doing estimates and sales calls. They will also have the opportunity to do some installing if they wish (not required).

Where would you recommend I look for a sales person? I am thinking maybe there is a way to target people that have experience in related industries (i.e. construction materials or blinds). What do you guys think? Any insights?

Thank you in advance for the input!

Car salesmen do well, as do service advisors.

They tend to jump around though.

I would call some blind or curtain companies ( the big ones).

Let their pitch be your interview.

What do you use to hire them away?

i'd say with unemployment still high you'd stand a good chance of snagging a good, experienced sales person by contacting your local unemployment office. personally, i would look for a good skill set rather than window film knowledge...much better to teach them yourself than deal with someone who thinks they already know it all :lol2

Great idea!!!

Ya I agree, I do not mind teaching someone about film. More interested in how they interact with people and how enthusiastic they are!
