Finding A Sales Person

We are looking forward to hiring a sales person this spring. They will cover a specific area that we serve doing estimates and sales calls. They will also have the opportunity to do some installing if they wish (not required).

Where would you recommend I look for a sales person? I am thinking maybe there is a way to target people that have experience in related industries (i.e. construction materials or blinds). What do you guys think? Any insights?

They tend to jump around though.

I would call some blind or curtain companies ( the big ones).

As long as they aren't the ones who are A-holes. We had two previous car salesmen do sales. The first bad, the second good.

i'd say with unemployment still high you'd stand a good chance of snagging a good, experienced sales person by contacting your local unemployment office. personally, i would look for a good skill set rather than window film knowledge...much better to teach them yourself than deal with someone who thinks they already know it all

Great idea!!!

Ya I agree, I do not mind teaching someone about film. More interested in how they interact with people and how enthusiastic they are!

I'd suggest you try to find a recent military vet who needs employment. They can learn the ropes and it's a good way to give back.
