Nah man.

You'll get charged for the nearest roll size.

800mm window you need to pay for a 1220 width.

What do you do if you have glass that's 1500+ wide?

 

Another down side is the film needs to be pre cut, rolled and packed carefully. I have a few solutions for that, and the opportunity comes, we have the best man for the job..

I had no issues at all with Ecolux when I pre cut everything and then re rolled each piece back onto the cores.

It didn't tunel or spoil anywhere.

Takes a bit of practice to get it right but nice and easy and saves cutting on site.

Just make sure each piece is nice and tight and there won't be any issues.

You know how Prestige tunnels just by looking at it. I do the same with that and no problems when care is taken re rolling.

I have a good selection of empty boxes of all sizes with clean cores sitting and waiting for the next job they're needed for :)

      Any way to fix a very annoying/dangerous rippling effect on the front windshield without redoing the entire thing? Charms seem to “jump” every so slightly making the driver a little dizzy during driving.

      help arquitectural in Puerto Rico heat

      Hi, new to the forum but a previous lurker. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on tints for a business in Puerto Rico who's windows face north (humidity 80% temp 70-100). Main concern is heat reduction though i would like for it to not be super dark since it is a work area. Have not contacted installers yet since I wanted to have some knowledge about products and specs beforehand to make sure im getting what i need. Thank you! From what i've gathered i should look out for: dual reflective film and low absorptive/high solar reflection products used this topic among others for research: "should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product." "The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat."

      It looks like the end of the roll was used which has adhesive marks from being attached to the plastic core. You can't use the very end of the film roll.

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!
