HOW TO TINT UPPER HALF OF WINDOW

Recommended Posts

If the frost is factory edge on top a butt seam would be best , you can do an overlap but there will be a seam line that the client might not like. Depending on the adhesive the overlap would be more noticeable. Give the client the choice and go for it. :thumb

Factory edge on the bottom. I would get as close as I could without touching the bottom film( if it's straight). Or just use an exterior film and gain heat rejection on all of the glass.

Exterior would work in certain situations , but there is an apartment bldg. in the background pic that means there are kids around. Exterior application would invite vandalism .

If you use the straight edge of film against or next to existing film , there will be a "stretch" during drying process thus creating a hariline gap(a possiblity). My suggestion would be to use a slight overlap to avoid this. Always be clear with customer beforehand. Good Luck!
