The Wheel Repair installer/Technician is responsible for Repair wheels, scratches, scuffs, dent damage by providing excellent customer service, and educating prospective customers in our service on customer/company vehicles includes from the new/used inventory. Installation is to conform to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances. An installer is expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all work assigned to him/her. The installer will accomplish all objectives by supporting the values, philosophies and policies of Carousel Motor Group.

Essential Functions:

An individual must be able to perform each essential function in a satisfactory manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

• Paint surfaces of wheels.
• Inspect wheels to be repaired.
• Removal of wheels from vehicle and installation.
• Perform work as outlined with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Order supplies and materials needed for installation and repair work.
• Estimate the cost of installation and repairs and maintain records for work completed.
• Work independently & with team of installers and sales staff to ensure complete customer service.
• Prioritize and balance scheduled jobs along with walk-ins.
• Travel between stores based on volume of jobs scheduled (all mileage while on the job is reimbursed)
• Detail Oriented.

Job Requirements:

• Prior wheel repair and paint experience.
• Must be willing to work on an On-site mobile type dealership environment.
• Significant amount of time of the installation will be spent on knees.
• Patient and work well with hands.
• Meticulous, clean and organized.
• All positions require the ability to model the Corporate Values.
• Ability to communicate with multiple constituents.
• Proven ability to create an environment that fosters learning, teaching, growth, risk-taking, innovation and fun.
• Good verbal, interpersonal communication skills
• Basic PC skills
• Proven follow up and organizational skills
• Ability to focus on fine details
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information and instructions
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Valid in-state driver's license and driving record that meets CAROUSEL MOTOR GROUP driving standards
• Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be prone to lengthy periods of time kneeling, sitting, bending over the vehicle and to frequently stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee may occasionally bend, twist, stoop, reach, and lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Installing the wheel repair requires physical mobility; up, down, working on your knees.

  • Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling, and contorting into odd positions
  • Physically demanding - significant amount of time of the installation will be spent on knees.
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Lifting up to 80 lbs
  • Work around cleaning chemicals

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• 1 plus year of related automotive experience.
