Lets get some things straight here. The whole window came out perfect as well. That "dust" was on the outside. It just really showed up on camera. My mustangs always have a little bit on the sides of the matrix that doesn't look good. This is the first time the whole thing came out perfect. And yeah I did wet-sand it. And the reason the dots look "milky" I guess it's because of the reflection of the overhead lights. I'm not exactly sure why it looks like that, but in person the dots were black... And as for the 3 pictures on one, all you have to do is use the IMG button when posted as many times as you need...

Man the first words out of your mouth was "ha ha" like you were patting yourself on the back for something that hasn't already been done. When I read this post it was like you were trying to rub this in our faces. My dot matrix come out like that all the time for the past 3 years now after I learned about glueing on this site and drydropping from a friend. I was sanding dots when they first came out on cars.

nice tip on the 3 pics!

I did'nt get the feeling he was rubbing anyones nose in his work with the PERFECT mattrix, now if it had not been done before then I'd pat him on his back, but as most here like pro have been doing them for years.

way to go on getting your first!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
