2016 c class no sound out of radio?

 I was looking for the factory amp him I couldn't find anything in the rear quarters nor under the back deck I did pull the panels to pull the rubber sweep out but I put plastic over the panels could it possibly be a speaker connection

I understand. You need to find that amp and blow it off. Give me a hot sec and I will run through my Directechs and tell you where it is. That is all that could have happened and it will be working soon when it dries, or if he and you are just missing something simple. Be right back

Okay. I know at times these situations can make an installer feel helpless, let's get beyond that. There are three onboard computers in that vehicle (if I didn't know or have the resources to help, I wouldn't) that run the entertainment system and self guidance. You did not work around any of them that interfere with that. His issue with sound coming in and out with radio ( may have been pre existing). And hands free not working? Who knows. Have him wait a few day and see if things change (they may if he has a change of heart because it didn't work in the first place) or it starts working again. Either way, when it is all said and done, let him know you will pay the service dealer to tell you the issue and why it went bad (they can tell you that). If it was pre existing he will not be back, if it wasn't, they will tell you the reason for failure, u make sure he understands this and you take care of having it diagnosed and if it has nothing to do with tint, he is responsible for the diagnosis bill. This will end everything. Write it out and have him sign for the reimbursement if them installation was not at fault, he will not even bother with it at that point, that will tell you the rest of the story.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
