Silicone spray in window - good or bad?

Recommended Posts

Lots of places/people suggest spraying your tracks and window innerds with silocone spray to keep them lubricated and working properly. I'm curious how this will mess with tinted windows. I see some people online saying it causes tint to bubble out and come un-glued. Any comments?

I've used silicone spray on all my Japanese cars with tint and I've not seen any tint failures over years of use.

Silicone sealants can be used to edge seal residential and comnmericial tint so long as they are "neutral cure" type and that practice is supported by film manufactures.
