speed filing

we have one of those to. never used it for filing just sanding dot matrix. works great! We just use those one way metal groove files for the doors, I feel I have more control with it, but I am always thinking of trying new stuff, thanks for the idea :nope

If the cust makes me mad sandblaster

No really I use 100 grit to start on really heavy matrix, pressing lightly, then following again with a 220 or 400. Mostly use 220 on majority of matrix.

How bout you?

I would think the orb action would not be wise, but like you said, I haven't tried it so I can't knock it. I did think about using a DA sander to do the same thing, and catch the tint on the up action.
