  1. If everything is completely accurate and you put a 35% film over 80% glass you will always get 28%. Problem is a box that says 35% might actually be 40% then throw in a possible +/- 3% to the film and the actual roll may meter 43% which would make the tint on glass meter at 34.4%. Even after all that then your meter may be off slightly as well that would give you a different number.

  2. 82 vette rear,,threw a bottom part of a rear seat in the gutted interior,,a friend painted it at his shop

Another friend that does some tinting had alot of tint in the garbage can attempting it

These are very tough to get a clean install on. Did one a couple months about. Almost have to cut perfect and a very awkward install :facepalm.
  3. Installed Pinnacle 30 on front doors with a strip on this 2006 Dodge Mega Cab. Incase yall didn't already know, the roll-up windows on these are laminated. 7d3935a04eb2e33affaff81dea9bf9e0.jpg

Yep, a kid that I use to work with was doing an install on his buddy's ram and didn't realize they were laminated. Went to heat a crease and pop!

That wasn't the end either. We ordered him a new door glass and when he went to install it he didn't have the window rolled all the way down so when he installed it, it got stuck part way down and he forced it and pop!

Third time was the charm for him :facepalm2

Nice Ocala. Love the room in those trucks :thumb

The new 2015 Grand Cherokee's have laminated glass on all 4 doors now, not just the fronts :DD

I've done quite a few of these and only come across 2 with the rears laminated. Not very common but good to keep an eye out for.
  4. Classic Black is reboxed QDP, thats why its color stable.  Great film by the way.

I believe you're referring to classic charcoal. Classic black, while a good film, isn't QDP. Classic black is made unique to EWF. I'm sure Howard will correct me if I'm wrong.

Kid you not the site list it as 1.2 I know theres also 1.5

It is 1.2 but it has nothing to do with the thickness of the film. The actual film thickness is 1.5

  5. Anyone have any possible solutions for the bg on the challengers/chargers and 300's? I'm doing a Hell Cat right now and the peanuts are all over. I've tried leaving it in the sun then touchup, I've tried the heat gun, nothing seems to work. I need HELP!!!

Steel wool, I use it on the three cars you mentioned.

Without felt the tint on the door glass will scratch over time. Done a couple R&R on these because felt was never added and they were all scratched up.

  7. Had one of the busiest Saturdays for me in a good while.

2001 CLK 430 Mercedes full removal and replaced with CS 5% full tint.

2015 Honda Accord sedan CS 35% full tint.

    2013 Lexus CT200 FXPM 15% full tint

2002 Toyota Avalon CR 70% front doors.

2013 Tesla P85 CS 35% full tint CR 90% windshield.

Now to go home for some whisky.

smiley-shocked016.gif Are you saying you did all of that by yourself in one day?
  8. Did R&R on that stang.  Matrix suks - inconsistent - prepped the eff out of it.  But matrix looks better than before with the burpling tint. Had a couple noticeable contam spots, not horrible.  White spot on the rear bottom is debris on the outside.  50% fronts.

Shrinking VW beetle backglass and tinting mustangs, I think it's time to change your name. NorCalPro has a nice ring to it :lol

    Nice job :thumb2
