Any one have any good tips on how to tint the Quarts without removing the glass from the back doors? The gasket towards the back is really long and annoying!

What's crazy is he said use dawn not baby shampoo for extra slide
Yeah you don't need to use J&J but A Lot of people do. I use it and love it but it's personal preference for what everyone uses. Try them all to find what works for you. I use what I call "super soap" when installing which is a 6 count of J&J in a standard spray bottle. That's some slide right there. When I bottom load I soak the hell out the bottom portion of the glass to make sure i get a smooth slide.

That's Awesome! He has a lot of great vids on youtube and seems like he is a good guy. The video in the middle is from @jh812 I believe. The guy from the first video shows a lot of panel pulling on different cars.

We are building steam with our tint shop so I think winter wise we should be ok. But it would be great to start another revenue stream and build that up during the winter so when spring summer comes we can hopefully increase our profits while offering more to our customers.
We get a lot of asks about PPF so it sucks to say NO we don't offer that to a customer. Plus the cost of training was a bit more than we thought it would be.

If you doing cheap film ...yes it is correct... if you doing high end film...you are incorrect.:..We charge 1k plus for a car with crystalline...material cost is $210 plus $110 labot and done in 1-2 hrs...
Does the 1K plus for Crystalline include the windshield?

Hi,
We are getting into PPF in September and was wondering if it is worth adding to our existing tint business.
What I mean is, can it potentially take over for tint and be more or just as profitable?
I really hope it is because the winter months are coming fast here in northern Cali and we are hoping to offset the loss of tint customers with PPF customers.
Also is there anything else anyone recommends to add to a tint shop that can help create another revenue stream? We are really trying to stay automotive so no FG on the horizon...yet
Just stressing about the coming winter lol.

It has always been a problem for me. Don't know why. I can't Frankenstein. Reverse Roll all my back glass. It's just me and that stupid car lol. I did great job on it. The struggle was real though lol.

What year model focus? Just did one today and the back deck literally is one of the easiest to remove. Just a few plastic rivets and it pops out. That was a 17 though.
My car though is the 2000 range eclipse. F**k that thing.
2013 Fusion. Should have pulled the deck.

So I am not as seasoned as a lot you on here but there is one car in particular that just makes me cringe when I hear it's name spoken. Ford Fusion.
I actually had one to practice on for a few weeks when I was just starting out. I hated every single day that it was in my bay. I don't know why I struggle with it soooo much. I hate the Back Glass and that stupid carpeting that goes right up to the dot matrix. I hate the rear roll ups that you have to bomb drop. and I hate the front quarters that are tight as hell. sorry for the rant. Rough day with my non favorite car.
Anyone else have a car that just makes you cringe when you hear it's name?

If it's not....it's definitely in the running!
That reminds me of about 30 years ago, working at a car wash, and a customer brought in a Monte Carlo with purple tint that he wanted taken off and the defroster saved. It came off in 1/4" pieces no matter what we did! Took 2 of us all day to get that crap off.
That is exactly how this tint came off. Saved quite a few defrost lines but a few came off with the tint.

And Boom goes the dynamite!

Just saw the exact same thing on one of the Facebook groups. Once the jeep sat out in the the sun the dash started peeling up. If I remember correctly, they were going to remove the tint and see if the dealer would cover it under warranty. Not sure what the outcome was.
Sorry that happened, best of luck to you guys.
Facebook Groups? I want in. How do i find them?

So use it after you have removed the tint? What are you using to get the tint off?

Just got into a shouting match with the rear plastic tray of a 2017 Jetta. Does anyone know how to take it off? That third break light is annoying because the tray covers it and is one piece. Bulldozer and Titan are not doing the best job getting back there to lay down film either.
Any help, especially detailed lol, would be appreciated.

Surprised film and vinyl don't have that. Maybe soon.
I was super surprised by that too. Tint Tek doesn't have it either.
