Be aware that if you had no cutting strip or had a worn out one, you will probably have to change your pressure settings after installing a new one.  When you do, start very high and come down slowly. If you start to deep with a new strip you are just going to gouge a new cutting strip, so be careful.

You likely need to replace the cutting strip and make all cutting adjustments on the machine, not in your software.

Highplains gave you the right advice. The cutting strip has a great deal to do with it.
if it is only cutting some areas of the pattern and not the other, it is because the surface under the cutting blade is not level (as a plotter without the Teflon or nylon strip that should be there). Last, your cut speed should be between 20-35 and down force 12 or 25 on graphtec and 120 grams for other machines.
    cheers

I would try to set it at 13 and nudge the dial on top of the blade holder clockwise just a hair followed by cutting a few wide oblongs about 2" tall. After a few rounds of that the blade might get reseated in the groove.

If the cut strip is fried I would get a new one. If it's not fried, I would get a new one as a back up to have on hand.
