Colorado door windows

If you tuck the film below the door felt on a Colorado you have to tuck it about an inch below or more. There is a secondary felt strip below the visible door felt molding inside the door. If you tuck the film below that gasket the film tends to finger up. To eliminate that problem, before you cut you film, roll the glass down. Take an extended olfa blade and just cut that inner felt gasket all the way off. Then install. Cake after that.

There must be a reason for the manufacturer to install a secondary gasket. Maybe for noise in the cab, extra insulation, etc. The manufacturer does not spend money on double gaskets for no reason... I can't imagine cutting it out.

Just don't bury it as deep as you normally would. 1/4" below the topmost gasket should be sufficient. No reason to try and shove it down to the rocker panel.

The only time I cut a window gasket is on a rope in type glass that I don't have the time to R&R.

Pull the panel dood. It doesn't take that much longer to do.

yes I did not cut any gasket and I tinted one about 3 months ago and never had a call back from him...................
