New paint job life??

Hey guys...I have a 83 RX-7 im looking to get painted. I heard from alot of people that paint jobs will only last a few years even if done by a decent shop, is this true? I might plan on keeping this car until im old and gray . When it comes too maintaining my cars, im very 4|\|4L about it. Should I take off all trim and then have them paint? How long does a decent paint job last if taken care of?

A professional paint job using quality materials should last more than a few years! It should last as long as you care for it!Store the car indoors!

well....Body and paint is just like annnnything else. It depends on the job the person does. Materials play a big role too.

If your looking to get a decent paint job...same color, with little to no body work, at least $3,000. And that will last years opon years upon years. Of course, regular washing and waxing helps alot...etc etc....

There is ALOT of skilled labor that goes into body and paint...and materials are insanley expensive.

If your going to Macco, or takin it to a $800 paint job shop.....you get what you pay for.

yes sir keep wax on the car at least every other month be waxing it even in the winter and wash weekly.
