No matter what car I tint I'm getting allot of contamination and I was wondering If fingers could cause it? When I tent it seems that the glue might be drying under some fingers and when I use the hard card on them its smearing the glue. Any ideas on what I can try to stop the contamination. THX

Glue smearing and contamination are two different problems! Smearing glue is from to much pressure and or heat while hard carding. Fingers can suck dirt in but how long are your fingers, is the film properly shrunk? To have enough time to allow the solution to dry under the fingers seems like you need to improve your shring technique. Also is the contamination just in the finger area or is it throughout the film?

your not srinking them enough try srinking it before you installl them

Chad along with Big-E advise maybe you need to check or upgrade your film because it should stay down on glass.

Technique will eliminate most fingers-shrink the rest! And of coarse fingers cause contamination-but most of that can be stopped by flushing and cleaning gaskets.

Try using a hair dryer to blow away excess water, and gently heat the film at the same time. It is MUCH safer than a heat gun on the inside of a car.

Thanks your your quick replies and I'm glad to be here :-). I have only been shrinking the back window that could be my problem Ill try shrinking the sides to. Thx for the help.
