Didn't know about it Kurt, unfortunately I'm playing golf for 4 days to celebrate my 50th, otherwise me & Nick would be there. Looks like a Belgium tinter's going to win again :ninja

Hi mr Brux ,

vegas was great but as I told very expensive .. The budget I was counting on was gone after 3 days : :zzz But yea it was worth it ...Diner in the Paris was " grand chiqeu " .indeed .. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it .

Back to topics , My belgian llumar rep told me there was gonna be some cind of lotery to see who could enter the contest :lol2 He also told me it was all about safetyfilm ??? I had to hear about it from mr louffe in the netherlands in the first place ,..because my belgian "friend" didn't find it nessesary to mansion it to us :lol6

I'm pretty sure He's got his 3 guys lined up allready , the last time he had 4 or 5 people entering and none of them made something :lol2 So I geuss he wants to change things this year and make sure that one of his guys end as the highest ranked Belgian dude...

I heard about it, they are taking two guys from over here...I want to get on it next year.

Hey naughty, the german tintoff is located in Bielefeld and they keep it once every 2 year .

I'm gonna go there anyway even when not competing , there are mostly interesting people to meet and free drinks and food during the day :lol6

btw the picture in my profile is taken at that tintoff 2 years ago.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
