A Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all

im just back from Orlando over the xmas break, doing the Disney thing as you do. whilst hangin around for the buses to and from our hotel I took to wandering around the vast car parks lookind out for ppf. I came across lots of those black bras but not one ppf?

I take it its not popular around those parts? couldn't find anyone advertising it either there.

evetry car I passed whilst out walking I looked at but didnt fint 1 car in 2 weeks, even exotics and high end 4x4's.

I just expected to see a few done over there. maybe its more popular in other areas?

weather was great, I love USA theme parks, they have the whole thing down to an art, clean, friendly, sunshine. total contrast to Ireland.

I would live there tomorrow if I could Tintzeus.

my opinion is if you want to see how things should be done go to the States.

saw plenty of good tinting there too, the odd bad job but we get that here too, a few do it yourself types.

I've been over there now 5 times in total, mostly florida but did get to Atlanta 12 years ago, that was awesome too.

keep up the good work on those flashy cars

I recon you own them all really and your just messin with us!!

PPF is a niche area of the auto aftermarket. In my state most of the PPF is sold at very high end new car dealers were they can retail it for some serious ""G"" $$$., and installed by inhouse trained techs, for warranty reasons. I'm only aware of one other shop in my state thats heavy on the retail side of PPF for the past few years.

      Residential Film without blue hue?

      Hey guys I am in the process of having window film installed in my home but have a question about which brand I should go with. Hoping yall can help me out. I have a room that faces a busy street and as a result my blinds pretty much always stay closed. I love having natural daylight but not so much people being able to see what i'm doing in my room/all my expensive equipment. I used to work in the window film industry as a helper/installer/salesman when I was in highschool and we did a lot residential/commercial work. The specific brand of film we used always left a certain blue and cool appearance. Is there any brand of residential film that does not have this effect? I mainly just cannot stand having blue light amplified and am looking for a film that has a neutral shade to it or even a warm/yellow hue. I have single pane windows and I do not necessarily care about heat rejection but if I have to pay more for a ceramic film rather than a dual reflective or a standard film I am willing to if that helps solve the issue. Again, any help is really appreciated with this there are so many new window film brands out there and it really is cool to see how far the industry has come.

      Automotive Tint Comparison

      LLumar, 3M and Solargard have in the industry as far back as the genesis of window film mid-1960's). Solargard is the younger of the three and all others came to play in the last 20 or so years. I've had all three on my vehicles over the years and my current is 3M Crystalline on my Jeep since 2015. It still has stable color, scratch coat is holding strong and impeccable adhesive clarity. Never been garaged. My choice toady would be 3M or LLumar.

      Hook up with Glassy Business and get all the ins and outs of pro vs DIY with window film. That company goes back way before my retirement in 2015. I want to believe they are/were a Vista Film dealer and I cannot remember the owner's name. Peace out.

      Once more thank you, you are the best I been looking at the specs for the products you mention and info into tinting a window. I recently did wrap my wife's car and it turn out really nice, for what I have been seeing tinting a window is similar and I am tempted to do it myself. With that said I can't find any place to buy the products you mention, I found quite a few films in Amazon but they seem sketchy. There is other web sites selling films but the ones you mention I can’t locate, anyhow is there any place where I can buy this products?

      Forgot to mention; if your house is under HOA, you may have to check in with them. Some, eh hem, many seemingly shy away from having a reflective look to the glass. A dual reflective with a visible light transmission of 35% (ex: NV35) would likely be more palatable to HOA, but not so happy for the owner. Your position to take with them is: The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat. There exists a necessary (physics) compromise in every window film transaction. Can't please all parties. Glad I could help educate.

      Thank you very much Tinguy1980, I was just about to mess it up. I appreciate your insight! I would have never guessed that the products I was thinking about "run counterintuitive to the use of the product" for the excessive heat. Frankly it does get so hot in that room that at this point I am less about how it looks and more about performance, during summer the AC never stops running in that room, electricity prices here in Las Vegas is up there hence I am trying to invest in ways to cool that room down. Once more thank you for your help I do appreciate it.
