what job did you quit to tint?

Recommended Posts

I was a boxboy, a crab fisherman and shoveled sheetrock and bricks in 100 degree summers for 2.50 an hour. Then I turned 15 and went to work at at Trim Line for my uncle. In 6 months time I was tinting 4 to 5 4 door cars a day and was getting paid a whopping 4.50 an hour. I was then sent out of state to another ''Trim Line" to train new tinters. At 16 years old.(LOL) Like alot of others here I was gung -ho about it when I started- tint laws and psychotic customers wear on you a bit over the years. Our company is very diversified, I recommend new shops doing signs and graphics, leather conversions, paint protection, even repairing power windows (especially you car audio folk) to put some green in your pocket in the slow times. I still tint - every stinking day!
