Lacquer thinner, clay bar, solvent or acid will remove this element if it is still there, than you should take it to a professional and they will be able to remove it for you! goo gone is crap there are way better products out there.

Ok final question, I don't think I can find Tarminator locally.. but Canadian Tire has the Turtle Wax version "Bug & Tar" remover. Do you think this will work just as well, or is this Tarminator product unique from the others?

Its just a name, I do not use this product and nor do I use any products from turtle wax. Do what I stated above and it should take care of the problem.... Its not about the name brand products is about what works for the problem to male the solution appear!
