HUPER OPTIC and V-KOOL

Recommended Posts

In terms of technology, both are spectrally selective. VK is a high end metallised film whereas Huper employs nano-ceramic technology. By spectrally selective, the films will select the wavelengths to transmit and those to block out, thereby giving high heat rejection (IR) and high visual clarity (VL).. 99% UV rejection is too common nowsadays to even mention! :DD

XH is a metal film and its been known to turn yellow over time (comments welcome!) some specs to compare below, using VLT as fair basis, HILITE IN []:

Ceramic 20 (21.2%) vs Hilite 20 [22.3%]

Visible Light Reflectance 14.37% [48.0%]

InfraRed Transmission 9.40% [14.00%]

basically, Huper has higher heat rejection with lower reflectivity based on similar VLT levels. of cos, there is a premium to be paid :lol

I'd be happy to answer other Qs on Huper, but will let VK speak for themselves. dont want to be selling for them as well... unless they pay me!  :lol

Whose Hi-Lite is that HO? Are you referring to Bekaert's?

I only stock and install V-Kool 70% so I do not know enough about the film to talk about it.  All I know is if somebody wants an almost clear film that will reduce a very high amount of heat and maintain the clear visibility, this film is your answer.  There is no other film that has the performance numbers when compared 70% to 70%.  The only film that even comes close is the Huper Optik Sech film.  Both films need to be sealed on the edges.

:lol

70 to70, VK with no reflectivity has it by a mile.

I'd definitely agree with Devil, VK is tops in terms of low VLR and high IR in the clear film category (60% VLT or more) :DD

we dont even wish to get into that segment, not yet anyways :lol
