First full car!

Recommended Posts

I done quite a few wraps but only bonnets roofs and boots, but now I got a BMW 7 series coming in for a quote on a full wrap ;(

I know we can do it, just scared as hell if I mess up. Not sure what to quote but will do the research on that.

Does anyone have any (proper) advice that may help me in this venture, ?

I would and have hidden away from such jobs, and keep bein told to just go ahead and take the plunge, I just wish it were a full wrap on a mini lol,!

At least I know his windows will look hot for sure,! Any help or advice/pointers will be most appreciated.

Oh an merry Xmas to all n a happy new year!,,

bumpers are not as easy as they look and require a lot of vinyl

have you done mirror caps before or door handles and recess underneath door handles that need super heating?

As for the quote depends if you want the job or not, I would say between 2 and 3 k as vinyl if cf would be hitting 1k to be sure

if you get the job make sure you explain what you are going to do to the car and what the finish will be like especially where the vinyl ends

advice on aftercare and longevity

what bits you are going to remove etc

get a good look at the car, even have it in your workshop for a day to practice on a few tricky corners, trimming where a-pillar meets front screen, mirrors etc before anyone commits?

good luck! :facepalm

Was at a recent open day at William Smith who were pushing wrap courses and the new 3M vinyl.

General consensus between both instructor and others who did wraps was an average price for a single colour change wrap was around £1,300 - £1,500 done in between 1 and 2 days. They said materials about £350 and that's 3M vinyl!
