Heat Gun Question

Recommended Posts

I use the cheap $20 Ace hardware no frills heat gun and it lasts about 2 to 4 years with no issues. For $20 bucks what more can you as for. I used a milwakee and I burnt it up within 1 years. I used to have the big blue and it is in fact the best heat gun I had ever owned. I never really had time to get another one but If you want to spend the extra couple of bucks its the way to go for sure. Also the homedepot $22 dollar heat guns last a couple years as well. The heat guns arent used as much as they used to and as long as you don't slam them on the ground and take it easy as far as care and dropping etc you should be fine with any of the above heat guns

I used to use this 41lOoUai1HL._SX270_.jpg

until i found this Milwaukee-8975-6-rw-74346-20331.jpg

The 8975 is lighter and just a damn good heat gun!

I have one of those Milwaukee ones as my secondary back-up....my primary is my old Makita. I find those Milwaukee's loud....Makita...nice and quiet. :thumb

Same here. Mine looked just like the top one. Until we burned out 2 of them in the same week. We switched to the Milwaukee, hoooooly difference! Way nice gun, & I don't know what it is, but it made shrinking a lot easier. Nice guns are worth the money. :dunno

Cheeepo!

With the back drilled out for better flow.

(learned that trick right here) :ditto

Got a pic? I should do that to mine.

I was thinking of trying two taped together... just haven't bothered :D

Use any bit 1/4 1/2 3/8, unibit.

Just wrap tape around the bit up just past where it would penetrate ( so it won't

drill into the fan) too deep.

Swizz cheeze that sucka across the back end opposite the nozzle.
