factory tinted front door with gap?

Just had a customer drop in to get his front doors done. When I rolled his doors done they were tinted with a quarter inch gap and the tint was laminated in the glass. Anybody know the scoop on this? and why the huge gap?

yeh.i've seen it.i show customer BEFORE i tint his truck.dont want'em to think thats my film with the gap...

its factory done.many cars have it,most are clear

My bad i was taking what he said like it had been done aftermarket. Weird about the gaps though.

What model vehicle was it ?

I had multiple customers waiting so I didn't check. Looked like a GL. I didn't see tint options on the Mercedes site though.

Ive seen it a lot on the AMG ML's. It doesnt look very good thats for sure. First time I saw it, I was like wtf??
