we just checked here....for a case of SIKA it's 4 times the cost of the betaseal express. i know that's not what you were comparing when you said dow was 3-4 x the cost. just sayin' :popcorn

I get a discount on the Dow, but the Sika case is 24 tubes, the Dow is 20, so there is a little difference there. The Sika Move-it and One are $40 difference but again, 20 tubes to 24 tubes. The special discount I get on the express makes it more like a $100 difference, though there are only a few occasions that call for a HM/NC urethane, and I'm not 100% sure if using an HM urethane when a regular one is OEM could have adverse effects. The difference is that everyone here uses a $4 urethane or even cheaper (CRL) to an $11 urethane and today was reassuring that everything held together fine. I am glad to see the glass stayed bonded because this situation could have been a whole lot worse if I followed the business practices of some of the companies I have worked for in the past.

      70% Expel Plus on windshield ripple fix

      Are you certain it's the film and not the actual windshield? You will not be able to "fix" a ripple in film. If you do remove it inspect the windshield carefully though. Could well be the glass has issues.

      help arquitectural in Puerto Rico heat

      Hi, new to the forum but a previous lurker. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on tints for a business in Puerto Rico who's windows face north (humidity 80% temp 70-100). Main concern is heat reduction though i would like for it to not be super dark since it is a work area. Have not contacted installers yet since I wanted to have some knowledge about products and specs beforehand to make sure im getting what i need. Thank you! From what i've gathered i should look out for: dual reflective film and low absorptive/high solar reflection products used this topic among others for research: "should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product." "The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat."

      It looks like the end of the roll was used which has adhesive marks from being attached to the plastic core. You can't use the very end of the film roll.
