IWFA guidelines

Like the title says, Where are the IWFA guidelines for flatglass install inspection.

We have some real jerks trying to punch out a 50 (really) sq ft glass for

ONE airborn dust hair!!! And another for ONE effing speck!!

Withholding a LARGE check if not resolved.

Can someone PM me the list or post a link.

I can't find it! :thumb

wow after reading that I understand why I see so much of what I consider sloppy tint work on building's.

I try to get my work to look alomst auto clean quality. That whole 2 inch border chit wouldn't cut it for me at all. Now the edge gaps are about spot on.

As far as the hair they are talking about, if it isn't in the middle of the veiwed section of the window. I would say it should pass then. :lol2

Yeah they are pretty lax standards, but I'm glad there's a reference of some kind.

And it's literally a tiny airborne dust hair, in a pane that is 10ft wide and 5 ft tall, in a

commercial building lobby.

Oh and NO BLADES were allowed to clean the glass. Only scrubbies. Soft azz tempered chit.

If a customer can see the odd speck from 2M away and it is entirely possible then according to this standard it is not acceptable.

Well I'd like to see the same dude who wrote this do better.

The customer won't cop some report standard written by an association that didn't do his install as an installer out.

People can be testing at the best of times and it is always so important to inform them of the tinting process pitfalls and accolades before the work is done.

Now this is worthy of a claim based on the IWFA guidelines.

This was "professionally" installed by obviously a goose.

Pressure sensitive white frost and they have pulled the adhesive off the film and reset it ......just lovely and this is what's around downunder.

The whole 1000 sq.ft. was like this.

Is there one for automotive?

There is not one for automotive, the IWFA says to use the one for flat glass.
