98 Vette - Need a Little Help

So I decided to tackle this for my friends dad this evening, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I need just a little help as I was not happy with the full result.

I used the soap method, layed down the film and made a horizontal anchor across and began shrinking the bottom, It became difficult for me in the last few inches and I ended up with some small creases and so I thought no biggie, shrunk the top really easy, and then cut off the bad bottom and slid film down to bottom of glass. I got it all shrunk in one-piece and when I went to apply it, maybe I did not have enough slip, but I ended up making some creases when squeegeeing it.

So I am asking for some tips on how to properly shrink the very bottom of the window?

lots of slip to apply anchor and then squeegee with the grain of the lines take your time

I know the hard part is the shrink, I had no problem with the top, but the bottom two defroster lines down, I had some minor creasing in there and I really think its how I was shrinking the sides over into the middle that caused the problems.

you need to stay long on the top and bottom with the film ....then bringing the sides to middle is right way to shrink it look at ltl post still got it

Well, last night he brought the vette over again. I did not do the pull and shrink method so I just took it slow and I got it layed down perfect the first try. I'll have to snap some pics this weekend. Those door windows were also a pain!

I'll get them posted this weekend, honestly, if you just take your time, its not TOO bad, but its still not easy. But I will say this, I feel really good about it and not really nervous about any back glasses anymore.

I also did it with the soap method, and H pattern. The top is EASY, the bottom gets slightly tricky, maybe I got lucky but either way, just make sure not to get ahead of yourself. I really shouldn't be talking as I am still a newb, but this is what worked for me.
