overlapping letters to produce borders

whats the easiest way to do this with flexi?

i just want to cut the words in chrome then lay black over top and produce black lettering with the chrome outline.

just curious whats the easiest way, i seem to fight with this all the time in getting the measurements correct and repeating it easily.

im sure i must be doing something wrong.

i use corel x5 as well.

just a note, if i change the size in flexi down by say .5 inch to have .5 inch border, then the spacing is no longer right on the sentence of words.

Flexi has an outline tool that can be cut out or solid to make layers of adjustable widths.

i played around with this outline feature, but i can only get it to ``outline`` the entire word or vector, not like the insides of the letters and such.

maybe i should just do it in corel first as layers and then bring it over

Use the outline tool, Adjust to the width you need to show the inside of letters and then use "Seperate Outline" command.

And of course use some registration marks to allow exact positioning of layers when applying.
