I have an 09 BMW 328i in today that has had tint on it previously. The customer took it to the dealer to get the tint removed but they left som at the very bottom & I need to get the rear deck out to have enough room to clean it out on the bottom. I has to be completly clean because I have to put tint back on it. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated. Thanks

man that really sucks. You will have to pull the back side and side panels to remove the rear deck. Also be very careful if it has the rear shade in the rear deck. I would try like hell to clean the glass without remove the back deck if at all possible. Then slap the :asshat that didn't properly strip that back glass.

Yeah it wasn't that bad, after I got in there and studied it I realized the rear seats fold down, from that point I realized it was pretty easy really. Thanks for the info. The tint that was left on there wasn't purple but it acted the same way the purple tint does. I fought it and conquered it. Job done.

I did an 07 335i coupe the other day and it must have been the tightest of every Beem I've ever done at the bottom of the back glass. My bulldozer would get to the top of the dots when it would hit the plastic grille looking thing but without getting all the way down, of course fingers kept popping up. I was able to barely squeeze a conquerer in but it was very uncomfortable and I had 2 trouble spots that took a good 30-45 minutes to get worked out. I could have pulled the deck in that amout of time. And of course it had the matrix at the top too, so it was a pain of a back glass.

Would the Titan have saved the day (at the bottom) if I had one? Or possibly cutting at the top of the dots on dark interiors is an option?

      Residential Film without blue hue?

      Take a look at 3M's Nightvision or LLumar's Dual Reflective series, they both have a warm tone to them.

      Steer clear of Black Armour, Suntek, ASWF. The others are good choices if you are in Australia. Check out the reviews of the installer too. It’s not just the materials that have to be proper. Never go for the cheapest!!!

      Residential Film without blue hue?

      Hey guys I am in the process of having window film installed in my home but have a question about which brand I should go with. Hoping yall can help me out. I have a room that faces a busy street and as a result my blinds pretty much always stay closed. I love having natural daylight but not so much people being able to see what i'm doing in my room/all my expensive equipment. I used to work in the window film industry as a helper/installer/salesman when I was in highschool and we did a lot residential/commercial work. The specific brand of film we used always left a certain blue and cool appearance. Is there any brand of residential film that does not have this effect? I mainly just cannot stand having blue light amplified and am looking for a film that has a neutral shade to it or even a warm/yellow hue. I have single pane windows and I do not necessarily care about heat rejection but if I have to pay more for a ceramic film rather than a dual reflective or a standard film I am willing to if that helps solve the issue. Again, any help is really appreciated with this there are so many new window film brands out there and it really is cool to see how far the industry has come.

      LLumar, 3M and Solargard have in the industry as far back as the genesis of window film mid-1960's). Solargard is the younger of the three and all others came to play in the last 20 or so years. I've had all three on my vehicles over the years and my current is 3M Crystalline on my Jeep since 2015. It still has stable color, scratch coat is holding strong and impeccable adhesive clarity. Never been garaged. My choice toady would be 3M or LLumar.

      Hook up with Glassy Business and get all the ins and outs of pro vs DIY with window film. That company goes back way before my retirement in 2015. I want to believe they are/were a Vista Film dealer and I cannot remember the owner's name. Peace out.

      Once more thank you, you are the best I been looking at the specs for the products you mention and info into tinting a window. I recently did wrap my wife's car and it turn out really nice, for what I have been seeing tinting a window is similar and I am tempted to do it myself. With that said I can't find any place to buy the products you mention, I found quite a few films in Amazon but they seem sketchy. There is other web sites selling films but the ones you mention I can’t locate, anyhow is there any place where I can buy this products?
