Please consult with your own individual film manufacturer, but here is our opinion.

We believe that the ideal mounting solution is a purified surfactant and nothing else. Llumar's Film-On (long considered the gold standard of our industry) is a pure surfactant. Slip-Tack is also a pure surfactant.

Products which contain Degreasers, Solvents, Stabilizers, Moisturizers, Oils, Emollients, Neutralizers, Anti-Bacterials, Proteins, Fragrances, Preservatives, Coloring agents, Enzymes, Encapsulates are for your skin, your scalp or your dishes.

Film-On and/or Slip-Tack is so pure and inert, I would have no problem drinking a shot-glass full of it. In fact, if you have ever had a colonoscopy and been asked to drink one of the common preparation solutions, you have basically ingested the primary ingredient in Slip-Tack (PEG). I can't even imagine considering drinking a shot glass full of dish soap, shampoo, bath gel, hand soap.

I understand that selecting a mounting solution is a matter of personal preference. Again, my advice would be to consult with the lab at your manufacturer and get their opinion on the use of a pure surfactant vs. any product which has extraneous ingredients and compounds.

Ok fair enough, EWF is the film that I use, I'm currently in the middle of transferring over to Classic Black. I actually made an order last night of some. Thanks again for the advice Howard.
